Our church is pleased to host the Cumberland, RI National Day of Prayer event.
The National Day of Prayer was established by federal law in 1952 and is always held on the first Thursday in May.
It is a non-partisan and non-denominational event. We are coming together in unity as we seek God for the town of Cumberland, the State of Rhode Island, and our nation.
This year's theme is Pray for America, based on Matthew 12:21: "In His name the nations will put their hope."
The event will be filled with prayer for our nation, its government leaders, churches, families, education, business, media and the military.
