Help Others

We work actively in many mission areas, providing relief and support at a local, national and international level.  For more information contact the church office at 333-5203 or amumc@verizon.net, or Missions Committee Chairperson Chip Thurlow at 401-333-1235.  Featured activities this time of year include:

Support the Woonsocket Shelter:  Donate non-perishable food such as canned goods, new or gently used bedding, and personal care items to help those in need in Northern Rhode Island.  Collections are ongoing and can be made in the church office or items can be left in the lobby. Watch the church newsletter and bulletins for this month’s donation needs. For more info on the Shelter go to http://famresri.org/ProgramsServices/HousingTransitionalSupport/tabid/164/Default.aspx

Prepare a meal for those in need: Help to prepare food, donate desserts, and come and join us as we serve an evening meal to those in need at the River United Methodist Church in Woonsocket.  Contact kkoswain@netscape.net for more details.
